OK (3 / 5): (Updated from 3.5 / 5 due to the review being incomplete)
Lacks a lot of substance, but otherwise decently animated.

POSITIVES:
- Good use of shading + lighting
- Good use of sound effects

NEGATIVES:
- Not very funny. Four users said they 'didnt get it', even though it's very clear what's on screen.
The Nerion soldier was picking their nose and tries to eat it while on guard and there was a Rodite hiding in the nearby ammo box. It is very clear that this soldier is completely incompetent at their job. From a story perspective, it doesn't really add much aside from showing that Stormtroopers are much more efficient than these guys.

- Only 22 seconds long. Maybe if there were some more mishaps caused by this buffoon's actions that would be considered more humorous.

INFO:
Not a lot is going on. The nosepicker doesn't move much past its initial pose and the Rodite never has any screen time aside from a few feathers. Maybe we have less of an attention span than this poor Nerion bugger, but I didn't catch it either.

Sorry if you couldn't get the background music working, but this is still very nice. Reminds me of Mother 3.

The animation isn't anything to write home about. Kind of looks a little bland with the old 'cheap clip art' style you have going on. Let's just hope the story makes up for it. As an Australian, I hope you succeed in your endeavours.

I don't care HOW good the animation is. If you want people to take you seriously as a talented Newgrounds creator, you REALLY need to add sound effects. Right now it just feels very bland.

MarkBox responds:

That’s fair. Truthfully I don’t know much in sound editing let alone equipment and programs for sound. Also working 2 jobs while trying to animate hardly leaves me any time to sleep or practice or study sound. YouTube i need that YouTube ad revenue so I can quit my second job to have time to look into it.

Oh God, Those stock clipart things. Don't really blend very well with 3D piranhas

You're right. My priority is to make an animation film as quickly as possible, so I have no other choice. It is not a high-quality animation film. How is the original story?

Definitely worth spending two hours trying to type all that credits from the TV.

Interesting twist to an otherwise very simple comic strip. I think the part where the protagonist flies into space was pretty nice. Not 'THE GREATEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!!', but still unexpected and better than the original,
This is because he only has one frame tweened around during the entire sequence (just after he pushes the lid over the well). As someone who used that trick extensively in my first year of making cartoons, I find it to be an astronomical time-saver (no pun intended). Not that it saves much since your jump from comic to animation barely go over 15 seconds, not counting the new ending.

SUGGESTED IDEAS:
Link the original comic in the description. Trying to find the original comic you based this animation on was very difficult since I have to skim through 160+ of them on your website just to find it.

(For anyone asking: it's comic #48: Well. https://bigfootjustice.com/comic/well/)
