Score: 7 | SS Review #011

The eleventh of the Dailytoons. Onto the review.

2RS: More lines smash into the edge of the screen. Guy says "PENIS".

OneStar: Girl at the beach dances to some song. Got all I needed 5 seconds after the whole scene is finished drawing/loading/etc, as they're all repeating symbols.

NightRaider:
Blue stickman returns a bowling ball, thinking it was a gerbil, then gets beamed up like in Star Trek. Very basic stick movie.

Aerdail:
Happy little accident, the original use of this toon skipped to the end. You're getting the full "Ninja man" toon here. He puts on his bandanna, which takes over 13 seconds, only to run out of time. Text is still cropped.

Visuals: 6/10 | Entertainment: 7/10 | Sound: 7/10 | Best Toon: Aerdail.

The tenth of the Dailytoons. Onto the review.

2RS:
Max appears to be good at animating lines moving along a white screen. This one has them resemble a face, which then bleeds and gets a red eye from the blood.

j00bie:
Some pictures of Kenny Loggins set to his hit song 'Danger Zone'.

Aerdail:
The first dialogue box looks cropped, but at least there's coloured drawings.

Visuals: 6/10 | Entertainment: 6/10 | Sound: 8/10 | Best Toon: 2RS

The ninth of the Dailytoons. Onto the review.

j00bie:
A picture of Superman next to 'R.I.P'.
NOTE: Christopher Reeve, an actor known for playing Superman, died on October 10, 2004. You're a little late.

ThreeStar:
"I'm Going to the grocery store" says the dancing guy. Apparently it's amusing.

PsychoJester:
Scrolling olive background.

2RS:
Is that a penis?

Visuals: 4/10 | Entertainment: 7/10 | Sound: 7/10 | Best Toon: ThreeStar

The eighth of the Dailytoons. Onto the review.

In general:
They're all very short and crudely drawn.

Vinstigator!!:
A dot moving around and changing colours. We all start somewhere, but I expected something a little better.

OneStar:
Car and truck drive into each other. The resulting crash creates an explosion made sloppily in multiple shades of brown and yellow and looking like spaghetti. The trees also pop in from the right or left.

FiveStar:
Pep Rally! Skips over to j00bie's part

j00bie:
Polar bear kills some Mexican stickmen. RAWR!!!!!

Visuals: 7/10 | Entertainment: 6/10 | Sound: 9/10 | Best Toon: OneStar

The seventh of the Dailytoons, and the best toons submitted during their first week. Onto the review.

In general:
All of the toons in this collection were previously released in earlier Dailytoons, with 5 toons in total (counting ZeroStar's two-parter)

ZeroStar:
This is both parts to Zero's two part balloon flash. It's decently drawn given it was made in 2 days, although it

FourStar:
This wasn't in the Dailytoon. This is a Winnie the Pooh parody based heavily on Dragon Ball

Pooh and Piglet spend way too long pausing between sentences. Although it looks basic and appears to rely on basic shape tools, there appears to be some effort put into the graphics with multiple backgrounds containing trees, mountains, and clouds. It was also the longest toon to date.

j00bie:
The Power Rangers theme song is pretty much doing all the heavy lifting.

MadStar:
The car doesn't look too bad.

Visuals: 7/10 | Entertainment: 6/10 | Sound: 9/10
Best Toon: Debatable, although it appears FourStar put the most effort.

The sixth of the Dailytoons. Onto the review.

ZeroStar:
Glitching picture of some guy. Next!

SevenStar:
Jeffrey Cumber falls over his wheelchair and spouts profanity.

PsychoJester:
Weird visualiser made using someone's face, along with crappy star shaped flashing. Could've been done 50 times more efficiently if you know how to use flash.

j00bie:
Speakonia conversation between a picture of then-President of the USA George Bush and Osama bin Laden. They discuss having gay anal sex, but then the sex is censored. So censored that it hasn't even been animated.

Visuals: 6/10 | Entertainment: 4/10 | Sound: 5/10 | Best Toon: SevenStar

The fifth of the Dailytoons. Onto the review.

MadStar:
A car drives on a bridge and on top of a tree?, then it ends after two scenes.

OneStar:
Appears to be some sort of follow-up to their bit in the Dailytoon #2. Same sound effect, same crudely drawn stick people.

LampOfTheAbyssStar:
The John Kerry 8-ball game: Type in a question and John Kerry will answer it... except that it doesn't matter what you type. John Kerry will just spout a set of pre-determined answers. Memorize/write them down, and then replay with the answers on hand for the best results.

Visuals: 6/10 | Entertainment: 5/10 | Sound: 5/10 | Best Toon: MadStar

It's just the dude standing there singing something funny. I don't care how funny, there's barely any substance to this movie.

Th3F4nG4m3r responds:

it's just as a joke I'm still not a full time best animator so I tried my best to put work into these even tho it looks like shit I'm not the best so thank you for your feedback and have a nice day

The fourth of the Dailytoons. Onto the review

Overall:
None of the movies are single frame, text only, or otherwise "obviously blammable".

FourStar:
Harvest Hill is a game apparently based on Harvest Moon and Silent Hill and uses sprites from the former. It appears to 'edn' abruptly upon clearing one cutscene and entering another building, but a game in a Dailytoon this early? Even if unfinished (and apparently drunk), it's still a bit interesting.

Do keep in mind playing this one hides the cursor, so you will have to restart the flash to watch the movies.

ZeroStar:
Part 2 to his balloon flash. Not gonna spoil it, but the visuals are just as decent as the first part. I saw one reviewer who said they were disappointed with how it ends, and I'm going to have to agree with it. It also ends abruptly, but it's still a more concise ending than the other two toons.

ThreeStar:
Like FourStar, this also uses sprites. Also ends abruptly. Not much to this one, aside from the EDN text also being crudely drawn and animated.

Visuals: 7/10 | Entertainment: 6/10 | Sound: 9/10 | Best Toon: FourStar

== First 'toons o' November! ==
Score: 5 | SS Review #003

The third of the Dailytoons. Onto the review

Overall:
Zero's not here, so already there's a drop in quality as the rest of the Stars have to fill in the void.

j00bie:
Power Rangers theme with two pictures from the show, one of the rangers, and one of the bad guy "Rita Repulsa", who then flips over and gets defeated once the song ends.
Despite it being the focus of various 5 star reviews, it actually didn't take a lot of effort to make, even for just one day, and would've been blammed if submitted on its own.

LampOfTheAbyss
This is "Ralph Nader home loan". Crappy ad with flashing text and images, and bright colours.

Seven:
Two people tween around a crude table tennis board and play. The ball hits the guy's balls and results in 8 points being awarded to the other player. Music's also a bit weird.

Visuals: 3/10 | Entertainment: 5/10 | Sound: 6/10 | Best Toon: SevenStar.
