Not too shabby for 2007.

Out of all the SurfSurpent tracks, this one's one of my favourites.

Great collab as always, though could use some breaks in between some of the tracks.

I really like the block between timestamps 7:09 and 9:43

Charlmot responds:

The transitions were too fast you could say

Aalasteir responds:

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback, next time I will have breaks in between some of the tracks.

The power of sine waves!

Is it just me or are you starting off each song with the same cymbal crash each time?

name responds:

Maybe it's just you.

1978 you say? This might make this the oldest recorded song ever published on Newgrounds.

Though what you did to it in the 34 years since is unclear. The description said you re-recorded the song, but one of the replies said all you did was convert the original recording to a digital format on your computer without needing to rework it.

And yes, I can tell that Pink Floyd is a likely inspiration. How involved were you in the original recording?

gamejunkie responds:

It was written & recorded in 1978 (without vocals) by a close friend. He was going through some of his old stuff & found this & a number of other pieces, so we got together & reworked them a little, add a little bit here & there with a Midi & added the Vocals (me) & this is what we ended up with. To be honest neither of us had much idea of what we were doing (with the Midi) at the time. You'll have to forgive me, it was 11 years ago & my memory is'nt what it used to be. My partner in crime has also passed since we done this. RIP J.S.

I saw everything:

Run off like that again and I'm cutting your channel allowance to 4.

This is definitely an old song:

Though, you can still replace "2017" with any other year after that and it'll still work.

Quick question: Were any MIDIs involved in making this?

ChihauhuaTheDance responds:

is maded in fl studio
but i dont kwon

Downloaded the song, opened it using Audacity.

There's nothing in here.

Looking at what Random-storykeeper said about the original:

1. Composition is good, and so is the overall theme.
2. RSK said the mixing of the original was all over the place and I agree with her. I'd also say the mixing is still pretty busted here too.

Overall, it's a worthy sequel, though still not without its flaws. If I can give some advice, it's this.

Pay attention to the tones of each instrument. Don't oversaturate any one tone, Maybe also don't maximise the volume of each instrument. If any of the instruments are difficult to decipher, or secondary instruments drown out the primary ones, you're doing it wrong.
EQ filters + Note filters are your best friends.

Offtopic suggestion: Share the BeepBox/JummBox links in the author comments. You can embed the link into another piece of text if it's too long.

name responds:

I always forget to lower the mix. I can make a modification of all files to a desirable mix in mp3cut, and I'll try to make the volume of future songs lower.

Speak now or forever hold your peace.
